GSE Systems Announces the Election of Jack Fuller to Its Board of Directors

SYKESVILLE, Md. –
GSE Systems, Inc. (GSE or the Company) (NYSE MKT: GVP), the world
leader in real-time high-fidelity simulation systems and training
solutions to the power and process industries, today announced that John
D. (“Jack”) Fuller was elected to the Company’s Board of Directors at
the 2017 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Mr. Fuller is a Class I
Director and member of the Audit and Compensation Committees.

Mr. Fuller, former Chairman of the Board of GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy
(“GEH”), brings a wealth of nuclear industry operations and financial
experience to GSE’s Board. He has over 15 years of senior leadership
experience in the nuclear industry, having served as President and CEO
of GEH, CEO of Global Nuclear Fuels, and CFO for the nuclear business of
General Electric Company.

Mr. Fuller’s previous assignments with GE spanned multiple business
disciplines and segments, including Aircraft Engines, Aerospace,
Information Technology and Energy. In his 38 plus year career, Mr.
Fuller held senior leadership assignments in general management,
business development, strategic planning, finance, product development
and plant operations. He has been active on the boards of both the
Nuclear Energy Institute in Washington, DC, and the World Nuclear
Association in London, England, supporting the industry globally on a
regular basis. Mr. Fuller is a native of northern Ohio, and earned a
Bachelor degree in Aeronautics/Math from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
