KCG Drug Alcohol Solutions Has Purchased SOBRcheck Units, Services Prominent Trucking Companies and Native American Tribes

DENVER, CO / July 12, 2023 / SOBR Safe, Inc. (Nasdaq:SOBR) (SOBRsafe™), providers of next-generation transdermal alcohol detection solutions, today announced that it has expanded its sales reach in the Rocky Mountain West with the signing of value-added reseller KCG Drug Alcohol Solutions (www.drugalcoholsolutions.com). Denver-based KCG was founded in 1999 to provide comprehensive and innovative testing and training solutions, and now services over 200 organizations – including prominent trucking companies and multiple Native American sovereign nations. KCG has purchased an initial allotment of SOBRcheck™ units and is actively promoting captive customer adoption.

“SOBRcheck is cleaner, and more cost-effective – why subject all employees to expensive traditional tests, when you can simply pre-screen with SOBRcheck and only test further based on positive results?” queried KCG founder and President Kristina Hogan. “Most importantly, SOBRcheck is an employee retention tool. If employers can identify a problem early on, they can provide the assistance that keeps an employee on the job. For the employees, if everyone is being tested daily that can change behavior and encourage healthy decisions.”

“Our customers definitely share this perspective,” confirmed SOBRsafe Chief Revenue Officer Michael Watson. “They view SOBRsafe as the employee assistance program (EAP) ‘first line of support’. Our technology empowers them to identify and help employees struggling with alcohol abuse – before the issue escalates. Our customers seek to help people get better, and they can also foster employee loyalty through a demonstrated commitment to staff wellbeing.”

SOBRsafe’s advanced safety management technology SOBRcheck™ hygienically detects and instantaneously reports the presence of alcohol as emitted through the pores of a fingertip – no breath, blood or urine sample is required, just the touch of a finger. SOBRcheck was awarded the Occupational Health & Safety 2022 New Product of the Year – Safety Monitoring Devices, and has received the Child Safety Network Safe Family Seal of Approval. SOBRsure™, the Company’s revolutionary alcohol monitoring wristband for teen drivers, is now available for pre-order with no financial commitment at SOBRstore.com.

About SOBRsafe™

The annual cost of alcohol abuse in the U.S. is $249 billion. Nearly half of all industrial accidents with injuries are alcohol-related, and 1-in-10 U.S. commercial drivers test positive for alcohol (the highest rate worldwide). In response, SOBRsafe™ has developed a proprietary, touch-based identity verification, alcohol detection and cloud-based reporting system. The technology is transferable across innumerable form factors, including stationary access control, personal wearables and telematics integration.

A preventative solution in historically reactive industries, it is being deployed for commercial fleets, workplaces, alcohol rehabilitation, probation management and teen drivers. This patent-pending alcohol detection solution helps prevent an intoxicated worker from taking the factory floor or a driver from receiving the keys to a truck, bus or the family car. An offender is immediately flagged, and an administrator is empowered to take the appropriate corrective actions. At SOBRsafe, we are creating a culture of prevention and support.
